What do you consider a small town?

farm town
I have no clue. I live in a place called League City. My town/city/whatever thing is weird. We have 67,200 people but NOTHING in the actual town! No movies, mall, Walmart…..
Everything is in the surrounding towns so we have to drive like 20 minutes to get anywhere worth going.

I have friends that used to go to Victory Lakes. She’ll probably go to Clear Springs High School and not Creek though lol.

I live in a town of about 13,000 people. And I think it is a perfect sized community.

Farm Town
I agree with the first part. Maybe those who thought small towns or villages are ones with 5,000 people are the ones who live in major cities. In their perspective anything less than 1 million people would probably feel like a small town.
I live in San Diego, and the entire city itself has about 1.2 million people. That’s quite a lot so I would probably feel like I was in a small town in anything smaller than this lol.

well i used to live in a big city , like over a million people. then i moved to a village, im not just saying that, it IS a village, and it has 20,000 people.
i think its very small, but i guess it more depends on where you have lived and your standards about that. but i consider this a village (because it is) or a small town .

well where i live we got about 10 000 maybe and thats not bad from my point of veiw (not like too big and crouded)
but i spend most of my summers with my nan and she lives in a tiny tiny town like a 6 hour drive away and they got only a little over 400 people in it now thats tiny but really pretty and quiet

i guess it depends on where u live like to me a place with like 30 000 is a really big city and something with over a million is just nuts(lol id never be able to live there)

I do understand what a small town is and what a big city is, but you asked what we consider those as, so i’ll give you my opinion.
Anything under 50k = Small Town
50k-100k = Suburb
100k-500k = Big town
500k-1mil = Small City
1mil-5mil = City
5mil-10mil = Big City
10mil+ = Major city
I come from a rather large city, so maybe that’s why I think this way. I don’t know. Anywhere that has under 500k people to me is small. I’m quite a city person.

Just kidding…
I’d define a small town as a place where everyone knows each other’s business and they all say stuff like “HEY NEIGHBOR!” Or a place where the center of town is a gas station, an eatery, and maybe a movie theater.

My idea of a “small town” doesn’t really have to do with population…it depends on what businesses are in the town.

I live in a town with about 100,000 people. Its a nice place to live because its not too big and not too small. Plus, if you want really big or really small, you only have to drive like 20 min.
