I live on a farm and my neighbor lives about a mile away and they have around 40 pigs?

Swine flu has nothing to do with actual pigs……leave them alone….unles you do want to have that cook-out.

You can tell your neighbors to get rid of the pigs, but I don’t think that they will take your suggestion seriously.
If you think that their pigs infected you with the swine flu, you need to go to your county health department as soon as possible to get tested.
If you indeed have the swine flue, the health department might convince your neighbors to give up pig farming.

While your concern may be justified, you are likely NOT IN DANGER. Express your concerns with the local health officials.
Me thinks that the media has blown this way out of proportion. Dangerous, yes! However, not for most of us, IMHO.
Take the necessary precautions and you will be fine.
