Facebook Farm Town Tips

Once you’re a Facebook user, simply search the applications for “Farm Town”. When you’re inspired, permit access to the application and it will set up a new virtual farm for you. All “farmers” start at Level one as a “Getting Started Farmer”. With the game “coins” you can start by using the “hoe” icon to plow fields, the “store icon” to buy seeds to plant and the “scythe” icon to harvest them. After you harvest them(and always use the harvest and store option - you get more coins than harvest and sell ), you’ll see the crops amass in your “shed”. When you are ready, click the shed icon and it’ll take you to the market to sell the harvest for more coins. Then you go back to your farm to plow and plant more seeds!

There are actually 3 way to “win” or advance levels in Farm Town: 1) plant and harvest crops as indicated above, 2) hire employees to help you harvest your fields and three ) invite and visit neighbors. For the first option, just use the plant, harvest and sell option to earn coins. This is a slow and steady way to make a beautiful farm.

As with all real farm communities, growth includes community! The second option to earning coins is to go to the marketplace FIRST and hire employees to choose your crops for you. They receive a nice payment of coins and you receive your full crop price - And 25% for hiring them to do it. You will ALWAYS receive more for your crops if someone else crops them. A pointer - add the employees you hire to your pal list (click on their icon and you’ll find the action) if they do a nice job and you have assured good employees the following time- and, they may possibly hire you, too, when they need help!

The last way to earn extra coins is to make and visit neighbors. Neighbors are those people you invite from your Facebook buddies, which makes them different from buddies, whom you add while you are in Farm City . Each neighbor will be added to your neighbor list and you can earn coins by going to their farm every day and “helping” them by raking, watering, etc. You may send and receive Farm City gifts from neighbors, both trees and farm animals. You may use them to grow fruit and populate your farm, or sell them at the market to earn more coins. Visiting and helping your neighbors will also help you earn the 8 Farm City trophies!

As in real life, as you get more money, your options increase. With each new level, new seeds and farm items will become available for you to purchase. The seeds will cost more but will yield more coins when cropped. The gifts you receive and send to neighbors will be worth more, so start cultivating neighbors so you can receive gifts each day. Once you reach level 15 and above, you will be in a position to buy more land to make your farm larger. Since this lets you plant more crops, this can help you bank account grow as well.

Playing Farm City and is fun and diverting and the creators are always adding new items to buy and seeds to plant, so it never gets tiring. Enjoy your new career and I’m hoping to see you round the Marketplace!

Tips for facebook farm town including crop tips and cleaning up points!

Facebook Farm Town Crops:
Growing day = 20 hours
1 day crop = 20 hours; so 10% = 2 hours; 1% = 12 minutes (potato, strawberry)
2 day crop = 40 hours; so 10% = 4 hours; 1% = 24 minutes (rice, tomato, wheat)
3 day crop = 60 hours; so 10% = 6 hours; 1% = 36 minutes (sunflower, coffee, corn)

Crops do actually go bad in approximately the same amount of time that they take to grow.
Example would be: 1 day crops like potatoes take 1 day to go to waste and be bad.
Crops do not go bad in storage once harvested so make sure to store your crops in farm town.

Fruit on trees in farm town do not go bad.

Farm Town Cleaning up Points:

You get 6 points for the first 50 visits you make to tend your farm town neighbors each day; every visit after 50 in any day gets you only 1 experience point to your farm town level.
